First meeting held with the ONTZHI-II Advisory Committee
The ONTZHI-II project has held the first meeting of its Industrial Advisory Committee, a key body to connect the consortium’s research with the real needs of the Basque energy and industrial sectors. This meeting marks the beginning of strengthened collaboration in this second phase of the project.
During the session, the technology partners presented the work structure for 2025–2027, the initial progress made in coatings, composite materials, predictive modelling and material compatibility, as well as the scientific challenges that will be addressed in the coming months.
The Advisory Committee —composed of leading companies in materials, components, engineering and manufacturing— had the opportunity to learn about the research lines in detail and provide strategic insight based on their operational experience and on the challenges they face in the transition towards hydrogen.
The meeting made it possible to:
- Open a space for direct dialogue between industry and technology centres.
- Identify future opportunities for collaboration and technology transfer.
- Prioritise the real needs of the sector regarding hydrogen storage and transport.
- Strengthen the industrial orientation and long-term applicability of ONTZHI-II developments.
The consortium especially appreciates the involvement and commitment of the Advisory Committee, whose participation will be essential to ensure that the results of ONTZHI-II respond to the current and future challenges of the hydrogen value chain in the Basque Country.
